In December 2019, the two met in their hometown in Nova Scotia and Emma gave Hallah a handmade lock necklace. After moving in together in Toronto in 2020, they started expanding their chain designs and experimenting with beading. Thousands of necklaces and countless late nights later, True Middle has evolved into a jewelry brand, with each piece the product of every favourite song, late night walk, childhood memory and perfect thrift find that inspires Emma and Hallah.
