J'aime beaucoup Bookhou
We've been longtime fans of Toronto-based Bookhou, and we've finally gotten some of their beautiful bags for the shop.
Bookhou is a design duo made of John Booth and Arounna Khounnoraj and their work emphasizes natural handmade materials and small production pieces.
All bags are printed with solvent free ink on hemp canvas, with waxed canvas bottoms and lined with 100% organic cotton canvas fabric. The waxed canvas is weather resistant and has a nice smooth surface and wears similar to leather developing it's own patina. The fabric is American made by the same family since the 1800's, and the treated surface will not rub on your clothes. Because of the treated surface the bag can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, easy-peasy.
