Our next door neighbor in the heart of Ottawa's Wellington West, JV Studios is one of those shops that instantly makes you feel welcome the second you walk through the door. Owned by Jasmine Virani, the boutique is filled with a beautifully curated selection of Canadian-made gifts, home goods, art, jewelry, and lifestyle pieces from local maker and artisans we love discovering. Beyond the thoughtfully chosen collection, what really makes JV Studios special is the sense of care and community behind it all. As a proudly BIPOC-owned business, Jasmine has created an inclusive, approachable space that feels warm, creative, and deeply rooted in supporting the local community.

Blumenstudio
Blumenstudio is one of our favourite spots in Wellington West to pop into when we need a little beauty in our day. Owned by Katrin Kosk, the studio is known for its stunning floral arrangements and distinct natural style that feels both artful and effortless. You can immediately feel the passion and care behind everything Katrin creates, from everyday bouquets to larger floral installations and collaborations. The shop itself feels warm, creative, and deeply rooted in the community, making it such a special part of Ottawa’s small business scene.

The Record Center
The Record Centre is a longtime favourite for music lovers in Ottawa and one of those places that just exudes a good vibe! Founded by John Thompson and located in Ottawa's trendy Hintonburg neighbourhood it’s an independent record shop filled with a thoughtfully curated mix of new and used vinyl, along with vintage and modern audio equipment. There’s a really easy, welcoming energy to the space whether you’re a serious collector or just getting into records again, it always feels approachable and fun to explore. It’s the kind of shop you can wander through for a while, always finding something unexpected.

Miam Miam General Store is a thoughtfully curated shop nestled in Chinatown, created for people who love beautiful everyday objects and the stories behind them. Founded in 2024 by longtime neighbourhood residents Amber and Andrew, the space reflects their shared love of travel, craftsmanship, and intentional design. It’s quickly become a local favourite that is part shop, part hangout, a place where you can browse unique artisanal goods, grab a coffee or soda, and linger a little longer than planned ;) They also regularly host events and workshops, adding an extra layer of connection and creativity to the space!

Bellwethers Vintage is a bright, beautifully curated vintage shop in Ottawa’s Centretown neighbourhood, run by a mother daughter duo, Carol and Madison Kelly. The space feels like pure eye-candy from the moment you walk in. It's thoughtfully curated, visually inspiring, and filled with racks of rare finds and character rich vintage pieces you won't find anywhere else! Madison showcases her strong eye for quality, condition, and unique pieces, giving the whole shop a “fashion archive” vibe making it a must stop for all fashion enthusiasts!

The Spaniel's Tale Bookstore is a queer-owned independent bookstore in Ottawa's Hintonburg neighbourhood founded by Cole and Stephen Davidson. The shelves are thoughtfully curated with fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books, along with beautiful cards, notebooks, and small gifts.
