Ottawa Rock Camp For Girls
In our honorary fashion (no pun intended) Victoire is in full support of yet another amazing event for girls in our wonderful city. Ottawa Rock Camp for Girls is focused on "inspiring confidence, cultivating talent, and encouraging girls through music". How could we resist getting involved with fundraising for this non-profit camp? Along with help from our good friend/esigner Ross Proulx, we are now selling Ottawa Rock Camp for Girls t-shirts at both locations! Available in girl AND guy sizes, so there are no excuses why you and your man-friend cannot wear matching shirts, RIGHT?
Proceeds go towards sending young ladies to the 3-day music camp that has been held annually in Ottawa since 2006. Girls aged 13 to 17 will learn and practice an instrument (bass, guitar or drums), form a band, learn and practice a song together, and perform at the Showcase Concert! This kinda thing is what Victoire (Rockstar) dreams are made of! Girl Power!
Also, this weekend at Arboretum, Toronto-based ORC4G band Pins and Needles will be performing between 10:00 am - 2:00 pm for the free youth program during the day!
