East African fabrics meet Western design

Kilambi is a new line we are carrying in Ottawa and Toronto by Kimberly Lochhead and Tanya Castle. Based in Toronto and Nairobi, these two ladies select vibrant textiles from around Africa and manufacture all their clothing ethically and eco-friendly in Kenya.  The magic behind Kilambi really lies in the simple, classic design of a high-waisted short or miniskirt done in bold prints that are vividly colourful and beautifully made. I think this might be the freshest way to inject bold colours into your wardrobe. 

This is their first season out of the gate and we're really pleased to be hosting their launch party at our 129 Ossington location on Thursday, May 22, from 6pm to 9pm. The girls from Kilambi will be bringing extra stock of all their pieces so we will have a great selection of their shorts and skirts in store. If you're in Toronto, come on down next Thursday for a little schmoozing with the girls behind this line! So many truly beautiful and unique pieces to behold.
