Heart Deco: Gemstones On My Mind

For everyone out there who shares my belief that getting married or engaged shouldn't be the only time to indulge your love of antique jewelry, here's a little peek at a few of the Heart Deco gemstone rings currently in shop at Victoire West.

c1906 Antique British 18K Sapphire & Diamond ring, size 5.5, $366

The ring above is a great example of a popular design from the late Victorian & Edwardian eras at the turn of the last century. You can see that the lovely design work and attention to detail was not reserved for larger, more expensive, or showier rings.

I absolutely love this Amethyst & Diamond ring. Dating to approximately the 1890s (though possibly older), it has such a great old world feel!

This sweet Sapphire & Diamond halo-style ring is in a timeless style - that has been around much, much longer than Kate Middleton's ring! And while it's a great choice for an engagement ring, it works for just about any occasion.

Art Deco era 18K & Plat. Sapphire and Diamond ring, size 6.26, $686

If you're buying for a family member, BFF, or sweetheart's birthday - or a particularly special/nostalgic gift - here's a list of North American birthstones by month:

January - Garnet
February - Amethyst
March - Aquamarine, Bloodstone
April - Diamond
May - Emerald
June - Pearl, Moonstone
July - Ruby
August - Peridot, Sardonyx
September - Sapphire
October - Opal, Tourmaline
November - Topaz, Citrine
December - Turquoise, Zircon, Tanzanite

And while some of you might not feel comfortable wearing a diamond ring while you're single, they remain a very popular choice amongst Heart Deco customers for "just because"/stacking/right hand rings! There are always a selection of splurge-worthy and budget-friendly diamond rings in shop in a variety of styles.
